Davenport University
Davenport University was established in 1866 as a private, non-profit learning institution whose main mission is to prepare its students to take on careers in business, health and technology and equip them to deal with the demands of the 21st century.
A multi-location university, Davenport University’s W.A. Lettinga main campus is located in Grand Rapids while the rest are situated elsewhere within Michigan. There are currently over 13,000 students enrolled in Davenport University over 50% of which are full time students availing of financial aid. Despite its large number of enrollees every year, the school is proud to say that it maintains an average class size of only 13 students. The university offers Master’s Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Associate Degrees, Graduate Studies (MBA), and post-graduate certification programs that closely focus on business and technology and the coming together of these two concerns in the health care professions. Special attention is given to the Nursing course as it remains the most vital health care profession that assures its grad uates of rapid job growth.
As regards tuition and other fees for the school year 2009 – 2010, these are based on 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduate students and 6 credit hours per semester for graduate students. The estimated cost for an undergraduate course is US$5,508 per semester; and for the graduate course, US$2,970 per semester. An application fee of US$25 is also required for both undergraduate and graduate studies plus a Registration Fee per semester of US$100.
