Great Lakes Christian College

Great Lakes Christian College is an institution of higher education and a four-year Christian college located in a quiet residential area in Lansing, Michigan. As stated by its president, Larry Carter, Great Lakes Christian College was established in response to a growing lack of Christian Churches/Churches of Christ in Michigan. Established in 1949, the college’s mission is to glorify God by training and preparing students to become worthy servant-leaders of the Church and the world.

As an institution of higher education, Great Lakes Christian College offers its students a four-year Bachelor of Science degree, two-year Associate of Arts and various cooperative studies with Spring Arbor University and University of Phoenix. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree can choose from a wide range of major and minor subjects; while those enrolled in Associate of Arts degree programs can choose between Associate of Arts in General Education and Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education. The college also offers Adult Learning Programs that grant Associate of Arts degrees in Christian Education, Counseling Ministry, Cross Cultural Ministry, Family Life Education, Pastoral Ministry, Worship Ministry, and Youth Ministry.

Cost of tuition at Great Lakes Christian College is US$360 per credit hour. In addition, new students have to pay a matriculation fee of US$200 and a fee per semester of US$590. Students who are interested to live on campus need to pay an additional US$3,700 for 17 meals or US$3,500 for 12 meals.

To help students with their cost of attendance, the college is extending financial aid in the form of loans and grants.
