Kendall College of Art and Design

Kendall College of Art and Design is a college within the Ferris State University whose main goal is to prepare its students for a career in the visual arts, design, art education and art history. It also aims to develop its students’ creativity by engaging them in activities that promote intellectual growth. Through the college of art and design, budding artists are made aware of their civic and ethical responsibilities as far as their chosen field is concerned.

There are currently around 1,352 students enrolled at the Kendall College of Art and Design under the guidance and tutelage of 163 faculty members who are known artists in their own right. With the small classes and the student to faculty ratio at 14 to1, teachers at the college are able to know their students by name and provide them with the focused instruction that they need to further strengthen their learning. In Kendall College, the culture is one of collaboration and friendly support for one another.

Cost of attendance at the Kendall College is US$4,730 for resident general education, US$9,195 for resident studio, US$7,110 for non-resident general education, and US$13,792.50 for non-resident studio. Cost of tuition for graduate students is US$10,275 for 15 credits or US$685 per credit hour. Financial aid is extended by way of loans, grants and on-campus employment.

While there is no on-campus housing available at Kendall College, the school is within walking distance from apartments and residential facilities. In fact, the school provides assistance to students in finding the ideal off-campus residence.
