Central Christian College of the Bible
Central Christian College of the Bible was founded in 1957. From 1957 to 1968 the college’s campus was located east of downtown Moberly on Ault Street. In 1968 the college moved to its present 40-acre campus in southeastern Moberly, north-central Missouri.
Central Christian’s campus contains six buildings including Pelfrey Hall (cafeteria, gymnasium, offices, classrooms and coffee house), Reese Resource Center (library and bookstore), Lang Hall (men’s dormitory), Spurling Hall (women’s dormitory), and Foundation Hall (coed dormitory). There are also two outdoor athletic fields on campus.
Central offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Religious Studies, Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of General Studies degrees in eight majors ranging from Biblical Research, Christian Counseling, Christian Education, Cross-Cultural Ministry, General Ministry, Preaching Ministry, to Youth & Family Ministry. It also offers a bachelor’s degree plus an associate degree in co-operative majors with several institutions in the field of Accounting, Administration of Justice, Art, Biology, Business Administration (Business Information Systems, General Business, Christian Theatre, Church Music, Communication Arts, Management, and Marketing), Computer Information Systems, Elementary Education, English, History, Human Services, Instrumental Performance, Liberal Studies, Mathematics, Nursing, Organizational Management, Piano Performance, Psychology, Recreation Management, Secondary Education, Sociology, Speech Communication, Theatre Arts and Vocal Performance.
On the average about 500 students attend Central Christian College of the Bible nearly three fourths of whom live on campus.
Breakdown of costs to attend Central Christina for the academic year 2009-2010 for on-campus students: tuition (covered by full scholarship) – $4400; room & board – $3045 (double occupancy); technology fee ($8 per credit hour); and student services fee – $650. For off-campus full-time students: tuition (covered by full scholarship) – $4400; student services fee – $650; technology fee ($8 per credit hour); and non-residential fee – 1100 (15+ hours). There are also new student fees: reservation & orientation – $250; and matriculation (new/transfer/reactivated after 1 year) – $325. Books cost an average of $375.
Central Christian College of the Bible is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of The Association for Biblical Higher Education Colleges.
