Drury University

Drury University was founded in 1873 as a private and independent collegiate university. Located in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks, Drury College stands in an 88-acre residential campus just a few hours away from the Buffalo National River. With its proximity to such breathtaking landscapes and natural outgrowth, the university has become a natural venue for the study of sustainability and concern for the environment.

With a curriculum that combines professional training with liberal arts, Drury University is an institution of higher education offering 83 undergraduate majors and 32 undergraduate minors. The university’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies extend master’s, bachelor of arts and associate degrees that students can complete either online or during evening classes or both. This was designed to accommodate working adults whose schedule prevents him or her from attending the regular morning class. The university offers six graduate programs; namely, Master’s in Education, business administration, communication, criminology, criminal justice and studio art and theory.

Currently, there are 1,555 full-time undergraduate students enrolled at Drury University – 54% of whom are female ad 46% male. For evening and graduate school, the total number of students enrolled is 3,545. To assist the students in their quest for knowledge, the university taps its highly trained and highly accomplished full-time faculty members, 98% of whom hold the highest degree in their field. The student to faculty ratio at Drury is 12 to 1 with the average class size not exceeding 18 students. This assures students that they are given focused instructions by their teachers.

For academic year 2009-2010, total cost of tuition and fees for full-time students is US$18,600 plus an additional allowance of US$1,000 for books and housing cost of an average of US$6,703.
