Missouri Baptist University
Missouri Baptist University is an evangelical Christian, liberal arts institution established by the Missouri Baptist Convention. It traces its origins from its present campus extension at Tower Grove Baptist Church which was earlier established in 1957. An 81-acre site near Interstate 270 and Highway 40 was purchased to serve as the campus for the then Missouri Baptist College which graduated its first class in 1973. The university is located at One College Park Drive, Saint Louis, Missouri. It has several extension sites located at Franklin County, Jefferson County, Troy/Wentzville, Lewis and Clark, and Mineral Area.
Present undergraduate enrollment in the main campus is 965. The number rises to 3,276 when the count includes students enrolled in the various extension sites. Graduate enrollment is about 1,338. The average freshman class size is 30 while upper division classes average at 20 students. Student/faculty ratio is 20:1.
Estimated annual tuition and fees is $ 17,860.00. Room and board rate is $ 7,090.00. Graduate tuition is $ 425.00 per credit hour.
Programs of study lead to professional certificates, undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees. Undergraduate programs include Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle School Education, Secondary Education, Applied Management, and Ministry and Leadership while Graduate Programs include Master of Educational Administration, MA in Teaching, MA in Counseling, Master of Science in Education, Master of Business Administration and Educational Specialist.
Tuition rates vary in the extension sites. Undergraduate programs cost from $ 244.00 to $ 329.00 per credit hour. Graduate programs cost $ 296.00 per credit while distance learning tuition costs $ 313.00 per credit hour. Home school dual enrollment courses are offered to qualified high school students for $ 115.00 per credit hour.
