It became the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1964 and represented the technology flagship of the University of Missouri System comprised of four campuses. It officially adapted its present name in 2008. Being a technological research university, it is committed to educate engineers, scientists and innovators who are expected to perform critical roles in the global, interconnected world. Known also as Missouri S & T, its campus is situated at 1870 Miner Circle, Rolla, Missouri.
