Grace University
Grace University is a private Bible college founded in 1943. Its campus is located in Omaha, Nebraska and includes three separate colleges: Grace College of the Bible, Grace College of Graduate Studies, and Grace College of Continuing Education. Its mission is to develop students who would become “servant leaders for the home, the church and the world through excellence in biblically-integrated education.”
Historically, Grace University traces its beginnings to a meeting conducted by 10 Mennonite ministers during which they discussed the possibility of setting up a Bible institute where men and women could advance their theological training. After days of prayer and deliberation, they decided to put up a school for higher education. Thus marked the beginning of the unversity that was to be known in 1995 as Grace University.
Today, the university offers 17 undergraduate and two graduate degrees in various majors. The most popular of these are pastoral ministries, psychology, music, and teacher education. Its teacher education program which began in 1998 is one of the biggest programs offered by Grace University along with its music education degree program.
Cost of attendance at Grace University for traditional, undergraduate students is US$7,270 per semester for full-time students and US$410 per credit hour for part-time students. This does not include other required fees and room and board. Tuition cost for Master of Arts degree programs is US$400 per credit hour.
Financial assistance in the form of scholarships, loans, grants and student employment are extended to help students with the cost of tuition.
On-campus housing via residential halls is required for all single, full-time students aged 21 and below. Only those who are married or living with their parents or legal guardians are exempted from this policy.
