Dartmouth College
Dartmouth College is a private educational institution located in Hanover, New Hampshire. This Ivy League school is well-known for its research and quality educational programs. Established in 1769, Dartmouth is the ninth-oldest university in the United States.
Dartmouth admits students from all over the United States and nearly 60 countries around the world. Undergraduate students number 4,100, and the College has 1,700 graduate students enrolled. The vast majority (over 90 percent) of students admitted to Dartmouth rank in the top 10 percent of their class.

Getting Admitted to Dartmouth
The Dartmouth Admissions staff considers an applicant’s academic achievements, along with SAT and ACT score results. There is no minimum score required to be considered for admission to the College, and no applicant is guaranteed a place at Dartmouth based on achieving a high score on standardized tests. Teacher recommendations and the applicant’s admissions essay are also evaluated. The prospective student’s extracurricular activities and hobbies are also an important part of getting an idea of whether the person would do well at Dartmouth.
The deadline for submitting your application for an Early Decision is November 1. Decisions and preliminary information about financial aid is sent to prospective students in mid-December. For Regular Decision applicants, the deadline is January 1, and decisions are mailed out in early April.
Cost of Attending Dartmouth
Tuition and room and board will cost $47,694 per academic year. Students will also need to cover the cost of books and supplies. The total cost of attending Dartmouth comes in at $50,547 per year.
Dartmouth is committed to meeting the financial needs of its students. Just over half of those attending Dartmouth receive some form of financial assistance. Both grants and student loans are available to Dartmouth students.
Sports at Dartmouth
Dartmouth is not just well respected for its academic programs. Student athletes at Dartmouth participate in 34 varsity sports. There are 16 teams each for male and female athletes. Two teams (equestrian and sailing) are co-ed. There are 24 intramural sports and 23 club sports as well. Athletes at The Big Green participate in basketball, skiing, soccer, lacrosse, squash, tennis, and more.
Online Degree Programs
The Tuck School of Business offers an Online Bridge Program for recent graduates and Ph.Ds. The program covers four programs: finance, marketing, financial accounting, and managerial economics. This online learning option is marketed to employers who want to provide courses for employees who have a considerable amount of talent but who lack a business education.
