Franklin Pierce Law Center

The Franklin Pierce Law Center, or Pierce Law as most of its students call it, is a private, nonprofit law school accredited by the American Bar Association. Located in Concord, Pierce Law is the only law school that can be found in New Hampshire. It was founded in 1973 by Robert H. Rines and named after New Hampshire native and 14th president of the United States Franklin Pierce.

At Pierce Law, every student is given the opportunity to follow the path he wants that will allow him to develop to his full potential. He is given every avenue to express himself be it in moot courts, in actual case study clinics or in the various publications issued by the university. Pierce Law offers various programs leading to a Master’s degree or a doctoral degree in such areas of study as business law, international criminal law and justice, commerce and technology, general practice, and intellectual property. Pierce Law is particularly well-known for its program on Intellectual Property Law.

To insure the high quality of its educational programs, Pierce Law commits to consistently update the technology used in the university’s learning environment.
Cost of attendance at Pierce Law for academic year 2009-2010 is US$56,644 consisting of tuition and fees, books and supplies, rent, food and medical/dental costs. Financial Aid is extended in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and student employment.

Although on-campus housing is not available, Pierce Law is located in an area close to residential apartments and housing facilities. The university can assist new students in finding a place to stay.
