Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences is the oldest unit of Long Island University located in its Brooklyn campus. Established in 1886 by the Kings County Pharmaceutical Society as the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences’s goal as defined in its mission statement is “to improve the science and art of pharmacy by diffusing knowledge among the apothecaries and druggists, fostering pharmaceutical literature, developing talent for pharmaceutical pursuit and investigation, and stimulating discovery and invention in the several departments of the drug business.”

Cost of tuition at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences for students enrolled in 12 to 18 units, year 1 and 2 is US$11,685 and US$13,726 for those enrolled in 12 to 18 units, year 3, 4, 5, and 6. Those enrolled in less than 12 credits pay tuition at a rate of US$790 per credit for year 1 and 2 and US$859 per credit for year 3, 4, 5, and 6.

The College of Pharmacy offers both professional and graduate degree programs. For its professional degree program, it offers a six-year curriculum leading to the entry level phase of the degree in Doctor of Pharmacy. This program is made up of four years of undergraduate-level study plus two years of graduate-level study. For its graduate programs, the college of pharmacy offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutics degree and a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology/Toxicology, Pharmacy Administration, and Drug Regulatory Affairs.
