Total current enrollment is 18 comprised of 50% female and 50% male. At least 33% of the total number is made up of international students. Full-time students account for 50% while part-time students comprise 45%. The remaining 5% are “research only” students. Applicants with baccalaureate and graduate degrees from all educational backgrounds are welcome.
Full-time tuition for 4 to 5 courses is $ 5,750.00 per semester while Directed Research per credit costs $ 390.00. Books and supplies per semester cost approximately $ 300.00 while privately arranged psychoanalysis ranges from $ 1,800.00 to $ 2,400.00. Applicable fees include admission fee, registration fee and curriculum support fee, among others.
The Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis is a two-year master’s degree program that includes courses in Theories of Early Development, History of Psychoanalysis, Psychoanalytic Theory, Research and Clinical Studies. Clinical Studies would require 400 hours of fieldwork externship in a setting where psychosis and regressed mental states can be observed. Experience has shown that students already in the mental health field are not the only ones benefited by this program. Students with other educational backgrounds such as art and business have gained enhanced careers with the advantage provided by the understanding of psychoanalysis. The program is quite flexible since it allows students to proceed at their respective paces depending on their previous experience and the program requirements.
