Cazenovia College
Located in Cazenovia, New York (Madison County), Cazenovia College was founded in 1824 primarily to train students for the ministry or for missionary service. Today it operates as an independent four-year coeducational college offering baccalaureate programs in the liberal arts and professional studies.
Cazenovia operates five schools namely: Art and Design; Business and Management; Humanities, Natural Sciences and Education; Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Continuing Education. These schools confer Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Professional Studies, and Bachelor of Science degrees and Associate in Arts, Associate in Applied Sciences and Associate in Science through Continuing Education in a variety of programs in Accounting, Art and Design, Business & Management, Communication Studies, Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Studies, Early Childhood Teacher Education, Elementary Education, English, Environmental Studies, Equine Management, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Human Services, Interior Design, International Studies, Liberal Studies, Photography, Psychology, Social Science, Sport Management, Studio Art and Visual Communications.
It has an enrollment of around 1,000 students from more than 20 states and 3 foreign countries and a faculty membership at 154 (54 full–time, 100 part-time). With an average class size of 16, its student-faculty ratio is only 12 to 1, which is ideal for highly individualized instruction.
2009-2010 tuition for full-time student is $12,076 per semester or $24,152 per year. More than 90 percent of students at Cazenovia College receive financial aid including need-based and academic scholarships.
