Hilbert College
Hilbert College is a private, Catholic college founded in 1957 by Sr. Edwina Bogel of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph (FSSJ) in response to the need for a school for training teachers. Named after Mother Colette Hilbert, the foundress of the FSSJ, the college today is a co-educational, four-year liberal arts learning institution in the Franciscan tradition and located in Hamburg, just a few minutes away from Buffalo, New York.
Academically, Hilbert College offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Associate in Applied Science and Associate in Arts degree programs in over 13 major fields of study that include: Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Digital Media & Communication, Economic Crime Investigation, English, Forensic Science/Crime Scene Investigation, Human Services, Liberal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Political Science, Psychology and Rehabilitation Services.
There are currently approximately 1,100 students enrolled at Hilbert College guided by 43 full-time and 55 part-time members of the faculty. Around 39% of the full-time faculty members hold a doctorate in their chosen fields.
