Manhattanville College

Starting out in 1841 as a Catholic academy for girls, Manhattanville College acknowledges it beginnings in a three-storey house on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The college then known as the Academy of the Sacred Heart relocated in 1847 to an area overlooking the village of Manhattanville. It was chartered as a college in 1917. Its current location is at 2900 Purchase Street, Purchase, New York.

Manhattanville College of today is non-denominational and fully co-educational. It has more than 1,700 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students representing at least 48 states and 76 countries. Its beautiful 100-acre campus boasts of both historic architecture and recently-built building categorized as environmentally responsible.

Academic Programs leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Professional Studies, Master of Arts in Writing, Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, Master of Science in Organizational Management and Human Resource Development, Master of Science in Leadership and Strategic Management, and Master of Science in Management Communication. Provisional New York State Teaching Certification can also be obtained. Also located in the Manhattan College campus is the English Language Institute and the Dowd-O’ Gorman Writing Center which offers courses for English language proficiency and provides the place where the writing community can gather, respectively.

Full-time undergraduate students pay $ 15,745.00 for tuition per semester while room and board cost approximately $ 6,750.00 per semester. Part-time students are charged $ 730.00 per credit for those enrolled in less than 12 credits per semester. Graduate tuition cost from $ 700.00 to $ 855.00 per credit. Campus visits may be scheduled Mondays through Fridays from 9:30 am to 4 pm and from 11 am to 2 pm on selected Saturdays.
