Marist College

The story of Marist College starts from the efforts of Marist Brothers who came to the Hudson River Valley of New York to continue their vocation as educators. They established the St. Ann’s Hermitage in 1905 as a seminary that trained future Marist Brothers. The continuous expansion of the original Hermitage resulted to the present main campus consisting of more than 180 acres.

Its main campus is located in Poughkeepsie, New York. Being a progressive college of the arts and sciences, it also operates the Marist Executive Center in Fishkill and the Marist College in Italy. It also offers its programs in 14 other countries. Almost 30,000 alumni call Marist College their Alma Mater.

Academic offerings include graduate programs, adult undergraduate programs, international programs and undergraduate programs in numerous majors and minors from Accounting to Social Work. Its programs not only cater to traditional students but to non-traditional students as well. Non-traditional students are provided educational opportunities with the availability of day, evening and weekend classes. Marist College provides another option through the eLearning program which provides for online undergraduate and graduate course offerings as well as advanced certificates.

One of the many ways it has brought its programs closer to more students is through corporate and organizational partnerships with such institutions as the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the New York State Law Enforcement, the St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital and the National Association for African Americans in Human Resources, among others. Full-time tuition for regular programs cost $ 13,052.00 per semester. Part-time students are charged $ 610.00 per credit hour. Other mandatory fees apply.
