Syracuse University (SU) is a private research university founded in 1870. Syracuse University is in Syracuse, New York, the geographic center of the state and approximately 250 miles northwest of New York City.
Syracuse University enrolls nearly 20,000 students at its urban campus, as well as providing an expanding distance learning program. Today, the University offers over 200 degree programs across its ten dedicated colleges.
At Syracuse, students may enroll in its Schools of Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Education, Engineering and Computer Science, Information Studies, Business Management, Public Communications and Visual and Performing Arts as well as graduate study in Public Affairs and Law. The school also has an impressive International study program with partner colleges in Europe, Asia and Mexico. The school’s distance learning programs focus on graduate education by providing master’s degrees in social science, business administration, library science and telecommunications.
