Gardner Webb University is a private, Christian, Baptist-affiliated university located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. Founded in 1905, the university offers students good quality undergraduate and graduate courses strongly grounded in a comprehensive liberal arts core education. With a strong Christian background, the university aims to develop students that are able to integrate scholastic knowledge with a solid Christian life and skills they can use to deal with the issues of the 21st century workplace.

The university houses a total of 13 departments with over 45 major fields of study. Students can choose to pursue a program leading to any of the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Divinity, Master of Business Administration, Master of Accountancy, International Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Counseling, Master of Science in Nursing, Education Specialist, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Education.

There are currently 4,000 students pursuing higher education studies at the Gardner Webb University with 133 full-time faculty members assisting them. The 15 to 1 student to faculty ratio guarantees that every student’s learning needs will be addressed.

Cost of tuition for academic year 2009-2010 for full-time undergraduate students is US$27,980. This includes tuition and fees plus room and board. For part-time undergraduate students as well as those enrolled in the Graduate School of Business, the cost of tuition is US$343 per semester hour. For Doctoral programs, it’s US$348 per semester hour and for other graduate degrees, US$305.

For students who want to live on campus, the university has residential halls that allow double or single occupancy.
