Bowling Green State University
Set in an central park-like setting in Bowling Green, OH, Bowling Green State University (BGSU) was started in 1910 primarily to train and produce educators. Presently, it still remains widely recognized as a leader in teacher preparation, with its College of Education and Human Development offering several teacher licensure areas, including Early Childhood, Mid-childhood, Special Education and Foreign Language Teaching. It is the fourteenth largest producer of teachers in the United States.
Apart from its strong Education program, Bowling Green State University is noted for making inroads in the field of science. It was one of the first universities to offer neuroscience as an undergraduate course, and the first US university to offer a PhD program in photochemical science. BGSU offers over 200 other undergraduate programs in the fields of arts and sciences, art studies, communication studies, musical arts and technology, among others. It also offers more than forty Masters Degree programs and seventeen Doctoral Degree programs. Certificate programs are available as well, such as in food and nutrition, international scientific and technical communication, and women’s studies.
Bowling Green State University has opened full, online courses for both undergraduate and graduate studies. Online undergraduate degrees are Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technological Education, Bachelor of Liberal Studies and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Online graduate degrees include Executive Master of Organizational Development, Executive Master of Blended Administration and Master of Arts in English. A student can also opt to complete an online graduate certificate degree in international scientific and technological communication, food and nutrition, quality systems or Ohio reading endorsement program.

Ohio residents enrolling at Bowling Green State University could expect to spend $16,460, while non-Ohio residents typically spend about $23,768.
