Case Western Reserve University
Case Western Reserve University is an elite private school that is located in Cleveland, Ohio. It is well known and respected for its research work and for the programs it offers in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, Dental Medicine, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Social Work. Case Western’s undergraduate programs have been ranked No. 1 in Ohio and No. 35 in the country by U.S. World and News Report.
There are 4,300 students registered at the University. The student-to-teacher ratio is a very impressive 9:1. Students who choose Case Western have the opportunity to get to know their professors personally and the atmosphere is a lot more intimate that what you would get at a larger school.

Admission Requirements
Case Western offers a non-binding Early Action track to prospective students who want to get a decision about admission early. The deadline to apply under the Early Action option is November 1, and you will have a decision from the University by December 15. If you want to apply to Case Western under the Regular Decision track, you will need to submit your materials by January 15. Decisions are released by April 1.
The University looks for people who are excited about learning and who go beyond the basic requirements to take on more challenging work. Each applicant’s talents and achievements are considered, along with the results from standardized tests (SAT or ACT). You will also be asked to provide your high school transcript and a recommendation from your guidance counselor. A recommendation from a teacher and a mentor may also be included with your application materials.
Tuition at Case Western
Going to Case Western on a full-time basis will cost you $34,450 per academic year. Room and board will add $10,450 to the bill, and required student fees of $752 need to be factored into the price tag for your education.
Sports at Case Western
Case Western Reserve University’s varsity teams compete in the NCAA Division III. There are 10 sports teams open to men and nine for female athletes. The Case men’s soccer team won the UAA championship in 2006, and the same year, the women’s cross country team also won the UAA championship for their sport. In 2007, the football team won the UAA championship. The following year, the team had an undefeated regular season but was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA playoffs.
