Chancellor University
David N. Myers University was renamed Chancellor University in 2008 after it was acquired by private ownership. Founded in 1848, the 160-year-old university continues to be run by highly energetic faculty members made up of business scholars, academics and practitioners who remain committed to providing their students with a learning environment that mirrors the real world – a commitment that assures them of graduates that are able to meet the demands of the market place once they complete their individual courses.
Chancellor University’s main campus stands in the heart of downtown Cleveland’s historic Midtown neighborhood. Standing along the intersection of East 40th Street and Chester Avenue, Chancellor University also has a learning center in Rocky River, Cleveland Heights and Mentor, Ohio.
The school offers certificate programs, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees and even graduate degrees in business, accounting, paralegal, criminal justice and applied information technology. Courses are scheduled at a time and venue convenient for students. Calling itself the ‘opportunity university’, Chancellor insures that each student has the means to pursue his dream of an education by giving him access to a variety of financial aid – from grants, scholarships, low-interest loans and a payment plan that allows him to pay his remaining tuition in installment over the semester.
Chancellor University offers online as well as ground classes at a rate of US$325 per semester hour for undergraduate studies and US$600 per semester hour for graduate courses both for full time and part time students.
The university has a good student-faculty ratio with less than 500 students being attended to by over 70 members of the faculty. Some classes have less than 10 students enrolled which gives the students the focused attention they need.
No campus housing is provided by Chancellor University.
