Marietta College
Marietta College is a private, liberal arts college which traces its origins way back in 1797 as the Muskingum Academy. The college itself was chartered in 1835 by the State of Ohio. It is a coeducational and non-sectarian institution located at 215 Fifth Street, Marietta, Ohio. Marietta is part of the Mid-Ohio Valley Metropolitan Area which can be reached only a few hours from Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburg.
The student body is comprised of at least 1,400 students coming from 40 states and 10 foreign countries. Marietta College maintains 103 faculty members, most of whom hold a PhD or terminal degree in their respective fields. The average class size is 20 while the student/faculty ratio is 13:1.
Marietta College offers undergraduate, graduate and special programs to its students. At least 42 undergraduates and 3 master’s degrees can be achieved through the different programs offered by the college. There are more than 40 undergraduate majors to choose from while graduate studies are in the fields of Corporate Media, Psychology and Physician Assistant.

Marietta College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
