Ohio Christian University
Ohio Christian University is a private university located in Circleville, Ohio. Founded in 1948 as Mount of Praise Bible College, the university maintains denominational ties with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. The original mission of the Bible College at the time of its establishment in 1948 was to provide training for the ministers of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. Later on, however, in 2006, the college was renamed Ohio Christian University following regional accreditation and an expansion of its curriculum.
Ohio Christian University offers its students Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Arts degrees in a broad range of professional fields. It also has an adult degree completion program and an online degree program for students whose work schedules or personal situation is such that they are unable to attend regular day classes. These programs insure that all students who want to pursue a degree in the university are given the opportunity to do so.
Cost of tuition and fees for fulltime, traditional undergraduate students enrolled in 12 to 16 hours credit is US$6,800 per semester or US$431 per hour plus fees of US$525 and room and board of US$2,995 per semester. Students who want to take up more than the required 16 hours will be charged an additional cost of US$415 per hour; while part-time students taking up less than 12 hours will pay a tuition rate of US$600 per hour. Financial aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships is extended to help students pay for their tuition and fees.
