About Australasian College of Health Sciences
With full accreditation by the Distance Education and Training Council as well as the Oregon Office of Degree Authorization, the Australasian College of Health Sciences offers career focused degrees for the alternative health care field. Today, students can enroll in the Associates of Applied Science of Masters of Science in Alternative Medicine, taking classes in areas such as herbal medicine, phytotherapy, wellness and holistic medicine. Located in Portland, Oregon, the school is well situated to work with a number of active natural health professionals and groups.
Founded in 1978, ACHS has become a leader in alternative medical education, students focus on developed careers in natural medicine ranging from wellness consultants to retailers and fitness professionals. Following educational guidelines from the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists, as well as several other professional bodies, the school aims to integrate students into the larger industry of natural medicine through active training. The school is actively developing a bachelor’s degree program, and constantly evolving to offer more course options to prospective students.
