Founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 1949, Grand Canyon University has a campus in downtown Phoenix in addition to its distance learning programs. Founded as a faith-based Baptist Christian College, the school evolved from a College to a University in 1989.
The On line College Database currently ranks Grand Canyon as sixth on its e-Learning rankings, with accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission and a long standard commitment to distance learning. Best known for its Ken Blanchard College of Business, which is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools, the school offers both bachelors and MBA programs.
