With a focus on providing distance education since 1979, Independence University is an accredited member of the Council of Higher Education as well as the Distance Education and Training Council. The University has a wide range of programs across its Colleges of Business, Education and Health Sciences, and its Respiratory Care degrees have been accredited by the Allied Health Education Programs organization.
Students can earn degrees ranging from associates to bachelors and masters programs, in addition to specialist certificate programs. Well known for its California College for Health Sciences, students can earn degrees ranging from Respiratory Care to Nursing, Health Care Administration, Gerontology and Public Health. Independence also has a well established business school with programs in accounting, management, finance and marketing, as well as offering an MBA program with a focus on health care management.
