International Academy of Design and Technology

Founded in 1977, the International Academy of Design and Technology is a private Media Arts College. The academy aims to provide educational programs that will prepare students for professional opportunities and career success in their chosen design fields. The school also hopes to make an impact to society by focusing on helping students learn by using professors that help supply energy and passion. The Academy also fosters an environment of creative community, engaged learning, and immersion, where the personal achievement of its students is important.

It has about ten campus locations namely Tampa, Detroit Metro, Nashville, Sacramento, Schaumburg, Chicago, Las Vegas Metro, Orlando, San Antonio and Seattle Metro. The academy currently has more than 2,300 undergraduate students.

The International Academy of Design and Technology offers Associate degrees and Bachelor’s degrees. The curriculum is said to respond to the real-world demand in creative industries for skilled professionals.

Classroom facilities include lecture rooms, drafting labs, design studios, production studios, recording studios, photography studios, and sewing and pattern drafting rooms. Degree programs include Fashion and Design Marketing, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Computer Animation, Digital Photography, Recording Arts, Fashion Merchandising and Advertising and Design.

Tuition and fees come to about $17,730 per year, plus book and supplies are estimated at $1,800 per year. The academy offers financial aid through grants, loans and various academy scholarships. The percentage of graduates offered full time employment within six months is reported to be approximately eighty percent.
