About Jones International University
Founded by Jones International’s Glenn R. Jones in 1993, JI focuses entirely on distance learning, and has full regional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission. The University focuses primarily on Business Administration with a unique curriculum format that aims to facilitate the transition into the workforce. JIU has built a strong on line library which helps students learn in an online-only environment. As part of the school’s focus on workplace training, each of the faculty members are working professionals who bring real-world experience to their lesson plans.
While the University primarily focuses on Business education, students can enroll either in the School of Business or the School of Education, each of which offer several degree tracks. The business chool offers degrees ranging from associates in administration or digital media to an MBA program, as well as a doctoral of Business Administration option. With the unique case-study, project-based coursework, students learn to work in an environment that largely follows the tracks of the business workplace. The School of Education offers a wide array of graduate options including Masters in Education degrees focused on K-12, adult or special education, as well as doctorate programs in leadership or special education.
