University of Illinois Global Campus
The University of Illinois Global Campus is an entirely online campus established by the University of Illinois in January 2008. This Global Campus gives students the option of maximum schedule flexibility and the ability to study right in their own homes. The Global Campus aims to provide broad access to education for students who may not have the opportunity to attain college or masters’ degrees other than through online learning.
The programs of the Global Campus are developed by the college and academic departments of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Springfield and Chicago. Bachelor’s (completion programs), Master’s and Certificate courses are available.
The Bachelor’s degree courses are completion programs for Business, Nursing and Health Care. Master’s degree courses are for the fields of Business, Education, Patient-Safety Leadership, Recreation, Sport and Tourism . Certificates in Business, Education, Information Technology and Patient Safety Leadership are also offered.
Applications are accepted at any time of the year. Courses typically last eight weeks, and students are recommended to take one or two courses per eight-week term.
Tuition fees vary from program to program. For example, tuition for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion for RNs costs $18, 495 (non-Illinois residents: $20, 550). Bachelor of Business Administration Degree Completion Program costs $31,860 (for Illinois residents; $35, 400 for non-Illinois residents). Masters of Science in Management Information Systems with a Concentration in Data Mining costs $24,480 (non-Illinois residents: $27,200). Master of Education in Human Resource Education with a Concentration in E- learning costs $14, 418 (non- Illinois residents: $16,020). Certificate programs range from $4,000 to around $11,000. All amounts pertain to costs for the entire degree.
