Albright College
Albright College, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It is among the top 200 liberal arts schools in the United States.
Albright College is best known for its degree programs which have individualized interdisciplinary focus, which has resulted in about 200 different combinations of majors, some of which include psychobiology, Latin American studies, optical physics, child and family studies, and crime and justice. Albright College also offers Pre-Professional programs in the field of dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and veterinary science/medicine. Currently Albright College has about 1,650 undergraduate students, 500 accelerated degree program students, and 100 education masters program students. The student to faculty ratio is 13 to 1.
Students of Albright have six single-sex and coed residence halls to choose from. Rooms are well furnished although students need to bring their own telephones and TV sets. Campus life is very active with plenty of well-equipped facilities and activities.
Overall yearly fees in Albright College add up to $ 40,370 inclusive of tuition fees ($30,800), room ($4,870) and board ($3,900) and comprehensive fees ($800). Note that room refers to a standard double room and board refers to a traditional 20 meal per week plan. To assist families fund the cost of an Albright education financial aid is available.
Although Albright makes it easy to apply by accepting applications via mail, fax, and online through their online admission page as well as the Universal College Application website, competition for a spot in Albright can be tough. The entering class of 2012 saw only about 500 students getting a spot out of the 6,000 applicants.
