Arcadia University
Arcadia University traces its roots back to Beaver College, which was founded in 1853. This college was considered a full fledged college in 1987, which was also when it was named so. In the summer of 2000, the school’s name was changed to Arcadia University and now serves thousands of students. It is based in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
Arcadia University offers degree programs ranging from certificates to graduate degrees. There are numerous majors available for the undergraduate degree programs. Some of these are: Accounting, Acting, Design, Chemistry, Criminal Justice, Communications, Computer Science, Forensic Science, International Studies, Liberal Studies, Sociology, Spanish, Theater Arts & English, and Political Science. They also offer graduate programs in Business Administration, Counseling Psychology, Education, English, and Forensic Science. The university offers flexibility through their online classes. Students may opt to take a full time online course or partial online course, depending on the program.
At present, the number of students is 3,900. The student to faculty ratio is 13 to 1. Classes are quite small, with the average of 16 in each.
