California University of Pennsylvania
Founded in 1852, California University of Pennsylvania aims to provide broad range of educational opportunities and experiences to students from diverse origins. Its mission is to develop the careers and characters of its students. Located at 250 University Avenue California, Pennsylvania, the main campus is built with 38 buildings and a 98 acre recreation complex. The university provides undergraduate and graduate education to more than 8,000 students.
Academic programs include 200 courses under three major undergraduate colleges. These are College of Education and Human Services, the College of Liberal Arts and the Eberly College of Science and Technology, and the School of Graduate Studies and Research. The university also has off campus sites at Southpointe Center and Pittsburgh Center in separate locations which caters to (1) the needs of the business and general population within the area (2) current students who wish to pursue graduate studies and (3) working adults who seek for additional education respectively. Annual cost of tuition and fees in 2009-2010 differ between in-state and out-of state students. For undergraduate degrees, cost to in-state students is $7,686 and out-of-state $11,122. For graduate degrees, cost to in-state students is $9,042 and out-of-state $13,146.
The university also has a Global online program which is designed for students who want to study at home. Undergraduate programs include BS in Sport Management Studies and BS in Science and Technology. Graduate programs include Master of Education, Master of Arts Teaching, Master of Arts, Masters of Science and Other Certifications.
