Cedar Crest College

Cedar Crest College is a private college founded in 1867 by the United Church of Christ specializing in a liberal arts education for women. Today it is run independently from the United Church of Christ.

Located off Cedar Crest Boulevard on the western edge of Allentown, Pennsylvania, it maintains an 84-acre campus with its own botanical garden not far from the city’s Cedar Beach Park.

Cedar Crest College confers degrees at the Bachelor’s, Master’s level and certificate level in a wide range of disciplines from Accounting, Business Administration, Education, Environmental Biology, Criminal Justice, Fine Arts, Hispanic Studies, Human Resources Management, Pre-Law and Social Work to Gerontoly, Medicine, Nursing Science, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Veterinary, and Psychology. On the graduate level, Cedar Crest College offers a master’s degree in education and forensic science.

Many undergraduate programs are also offered as Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree and as a certificate program through its online distance education supervised by its Center for Lifelong Learning. Through night, weekend and online classes, the Center offers more than 30 degrees in a variety of fields including Accounting, Health Care Management and Gerontology.

Cedar Crest College enrolls more than 1,900 undergraduate and graduate students (both full-time and part-time) at a low student-faculty ratio of 11:1.

Full-time students pay tuition of $13,334 per semester or $26,668 per year. Part-time tuition costs $889 per credit. Room and board can cost from $2,134 per semester or $4,268 per year for a triple room to $2,726 per semester or $5,452 per year for a single room. Meal plans costs $2,120 per semester or $4,240 per year for the basic 19-Meals-Per-Week Plan.
