Holy Family University
Holy Family University is a private, Catholic, co-educational four-year university located in Philadelphia. Administered by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and founded in 1954, the university provides Christ-centered education to its students and trains them to “assume lifelong responsibilities towards God, society and self.” Apart from its main campus, Holy Family University maintains satellite locations in Newtown and Woodhaven.
The university offers a core curriculum of Christian liberal arts which teaches general education subjects such as humanities, philosophy, religion and social and natural sciences. Upon completing the core liberal arts curriculum, students then seek their professional degrees through the university’s graduate, undergraduate and non-degree programs. The university is divided into four distinguished schools: School of Art and Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education and School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. The school also offers Extended Learning to those who want to complete their degrees but cannot attend the regular classes.
Cost of tuition at the university for fulltime students of non-Nursing courses is US$10,905 per semester plus US$795 for required fees and US$470 per credit hour for part-time students. For Nursing courses, cost of tuition for fulltime students is US$10,905 per semester plus required fees in the amount of US$1,690 and for part-time students, US$470. Graduate students pay tuition in the amount of US$575 per credit hour. These rates apply to tuition only and do not include the cost for room and board which averages between US$4,950 or higher. To help students who may be having difficulty paying for his or her cost of attendance, the university extends financial aid in the form of loans or grants.
