Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine or LECOM is a private, graduate school of medicine and pharmacy located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1992, LECOM now has branch campuses in Bradenton, Florida and the latest one in Greensburg where Seton Hill University used to be located.

As a graduate school, LECOM offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and the Doctor of Pharmacy degrees. It also maintains a Post Baccalaureate Program for students who want to beef up their basic science credentials to make them more competitive and readily admitted to medical or pharmacy school.

LECOM offers its students a flexible method of acquiring the skills and know-how they need for pursuing the degree they desire. First, they are made to choose where it’s most convenient for them to pursue their degree – at the main campus in Erie, at Bradenton, or in Greensburg. They are then also asked which of the learning pathways they prefer – a traditional Lecture Discussion Program, a Problem Based Learning Program, an Independent Study Program, or an accelerated pathway to primary care that condenses four years of medical education into three years.. The campus at Erie offers all learning pathways while the branch campuses at Bradenton and Greensburg are both offering only Problem Based Learning.

Cost of attendance at LECOM Erie for academic year 2009-2010 is US$26,700 for in-state students and US$28,100 for non-resident students. At LECOM Bradenton, cost for Florida residents is US$26,700 and for non-residents, US$28,350. At LECOM Greensburg, cost of attendance for in-state students is US$28,500 and for non-residents, US$30,000. Financial aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships will be extended to help students pay for their cost of attendance.
