Marywood University

Marywood University is a Catholic university founded by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1915. Serving students of varied backgrounds and faiths, more than 3,000 men and women are presently enrolled in the university’s graduate and undergraduate programs. These programs are administered by the four colleges of the university.

Located at 2300 Adams Avenue, Scranton, Pennsylvania, Marywood University occupies a 115-acre campus situated on a scenic hill top. Scranton is the county seat of Lackawanna County and is of convenient proximity to a number of major cities in the Northeast. It is about an hour from Binghamton or 2 ½ hours from Philadelphia and New York City.

The university campus houses several notable facilities such as the Learning Resource Center which provides instructional technology services, library services as well as computer training and user support services; the Robert J. Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness; the Loughran Hall and the Center for Spiritual Life. An Academic Excellence Center functions to provide support to students in their goal of becoming excellent learners.

Tuition for full-time students is $ 25,150.00 per year while part-time students and students with more than 18 credits are charged $ 575.00 per credit hour. Distance learning courses cost $ 460.00 per credit. Tuition for master’s degrees ranges from $ 575.00 to $ 840.00 per credit hour. Room and board rate costs $ 11,498.00 for a 19-meal plan/double room option. Estimated total educational costs for studying in Marywood University is $ 39,968.00 inclusive of tuition, general and student activities fee, room and board, books and supplies, personal expenses and transportation expenses.
