Aquinas College
Aquinas College was founded in 1928 with the name of Saint Cecilia Normal School. The goal was to educate the sisters of the congregation. In 1971, it was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, but only to award Associate Degrees. It was only in 1994 that the college became authorized to award 4-year degrees. Located in a beautiful campus in Nashville, Tennessee, the college continues to provide quality education which is rooted in Catholic Dominican principles.
The college offers degree programs under two different modes: the Traditional Track and the Adult Studies Program. The Traditional Track offers degrees in liberal arts, business, nursing, and teacher education. Most people take day time classes under the program. The Adult Studies Program offers degrees in nursing and business. These programs are aimed at working professionals who need flexibility. There are no online classes currently being offered, but night classes are available.
Students studying at Aquinas College receive personalized instruction. With a student to faculty ratio of 14 to 1, this is quite possible. There are no housing facilities available in the campus. However, the college offers assistance in terms of information.
The cost of attendance at Aquinas College depends on the track that you take. Regular tuition is $556 per credit hour. For the Adult Studies Program, it costs $440 per credit hour. Other fees apply. The Office of Admissions is open for inquiries every day, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm. They have an admissions team that can help interested students gather more detailed information.
