King College

King College is a private comprehensive college that uses the university model in offering pre-professional and professional degrees. Located in Bristol, Tennessee, King College maintains covenant ties with the Presbyterian Church and has stated its mission to be “the education of students in an academically rigorous and collegiate setting that integrates Christian faith, scholarship, service and career, leading to meaningful lives of achievement and cultural transformation in Christ.”

Organized following a small-university model, King College is divided into five distinct schools; namely, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business and Economics, Peeke School of Christian Mission, School of Education, and School of Nursing.

Through these schools the college offers undergraduate majors in over 80 fields of study as well as professional studies programs for working individuals in the fields of Nursing (BSN), Business Administration (BBA), and Information Technology (Btech). It likewise grants Master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Nursing (MSN) and Education (MEd).

Cost of attending King College for academic year 2009-2010 is US$29,298 for fulltime, resident students. This cost is made up of the full-year tuition and fees of US$21,880 plus room and board of US$7,418. Part-time students pay tuition at a rate of US$600 per credit hour plus an activity fee of US120 and laptop fee of US$435 per semester. As a form of assistance to help defray tuition cost, the college extends financial aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships to qualified students.

On-campus housing is available via five residential halls – four halls for women and one hall for men.
