Tennessee State University
Located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee State University is a public research school with over 10,000 students. A historically black college, Tennessee State was founded in 1912 with a focus on Agricultural and Industrial Sciences, and has expanded into a number of athletic areas, we asll a competing in NCAA Division I athletics in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Today, the University has complete accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and offers over 50 degree programs ranging from associates degrees to master’s and doctoral programs.
True to its roots, TSU has strong programs in industrial science including its College of Engineering and Computer science which is accredited by the Board of Engineering and Technology and offers majors ranging from Civil Engineering to Computer Information Systems to Biomedical Engineering as well as more traditional degrees in Mechanical, Electrical and General engineering. A well regarded graduate program in computer science features concentrations in Networking, Robotics and Manufacturing. Additionally, the school’s College of Business is accredited by the Association of Advance College Schools of Business, and features bachelors and MBA degrees.
