Dallas Christian College

Dallas Christian College, founded in 1950, is a private undergraduate university located in Farmers Branch, Texas. The university incorporates a balanced curriculum of Bible, general education, and specialized or professional studies. There is strong focus on anti-discrimination. The accreditation is obtained from the Association for Biblical Higher Education.

Dallas Christian College comprises four departments, namely: Bible Department, Arts and Sciences Department, Business Administration Department, and the Education Department. The Bible Department offers two Bachelor degrees in biblical studies, intercultural studies, ministry leadership, and worship fields of study. The Arts and Sciences Department offers two Bachelor degrees in the humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences. The Business Administration Department offers two Bachelor degrees in business, administration, management, and ethics. The last department, Education, offers single degree in elementary, secondary, and music education. Online degrees are available for Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Ministry and Leadership, and Bachelor of Science in Management and Ethics, and each has a wide option of majors. There are also adult/evening courses for busy, working or married adults.

Two residence halls are offered: Newland Hall for the male students and Winslow Hall for the females. Student halls are equipped with complete facilities to support students’ needs and convenience. The cost to study at Dallas Christian College is around $25,000 per year for 2009-2010 admission. Athletic life is focused mainly on basketball and soccer, both for males and females. There are also a wide variety of student organizations to join.
