Dallas Theological Seminary

Dallas Theological Seminary, founded in 1924, is an evangelical theological seminary located in Dallas, Texas. The seminary has campuses in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Knoxville, and Tampa. Many well-known theologians are graduates from this school. Dallas Theological Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. In the fall of 2008, the total enrollment recorded was 2,050 students with 157 international students coming from 54 different foreign countries. Nearly 300 students took the online courses. Majority of the students went for the Master of Theology (Th.M) and Master of Arts (M.A.) programs. Around two thirds of the total student population was female.

The seminary is comprised of eleven academic departments, namely: Biblical Counseling, Biblical Exposition, Christian Education, Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Philosophy, New Testament Studies, Old Testament Studies, Pastoral Ministries, Spiritual Formation & Leadership, Theological Studies, and the World Missions & Intercultural Studies. Students can choose among the programs for Master of Theology, Master of Arts, Master of Sacred Theology, Doctoral, and others such as certificate, non-degree, and special programs. Online courses are designed to mimic the studying experience in “offline” classes.

Tuition cost for Master’s degree ranges from $375 to $465 per credit hour. For doctoral degree, it ranges from $520 to $585 per credit hour. The total fees and expenses per semester are estimated to be $5,005 in average. Despite a strong focus on academic study and spiritual development, the seminary also offers wide options for student organizations.
