Lubbock Christian University

Lubbock Christian University is a private, coeducational university located in Lubbock, Texas. Founded in 1957, it is closely associated with the Churches of Christ and is currently home to almost 2,000 students. With a student to faculty ratio of 13 to 1 and the average class size no more than 20, students enrolled at Lubbock Christian University enjoy the one-on-one focused interaction of a small college while having access to the wide stock of learning opportunities available in a university setting.

Academically, the university offers over 55 undergraduate majors and 14 graduate programs covering a wide-range of disciplines. The school grants associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees and maintains a University Honors Program. The university’s graduate degree programs include Graduate Behavioral Sciences, Graduate Education, Graduate Leadership, Graduate Bible and Graduate Nursing.

Cost of tuition for graduate students varies per chosen degree program. For Graduate Bible Degree Program, the cost per credit hour is US$225; for Graduate Counseling, Graduate Family Life, and Graduate Organizational Leadership, it’s US$330 per credit hour for each; for Graduate Education, US$276; and for Graduate Nursing, US$292. Online classes on these degree programs carry an additional fee of US$100 per course. For regular undergraduate students enrolled in 12 to 18 hours of credit, the cost of tuition for academic year 2009-2010 is US$7,640 for fulltime students and US$455 per credit hour for part-time students. To help students pay for their cost of tuition and fees, financial aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships are extended to them.

On-campus housing is available via separate dorms for men and women along with apartment-style dwelling units.
