Marlboro College

Marlboro College is a residential, coeducational and private liberal arts college established in 1946. It occupies a 300-acre campus on the foothills of the Green Mountains situated in the small town of Marlboro, Vermont. Occupying what used to be two dairy farms, it presents a rural New England image of white buildings and apple trees. Marlboro is very near the vibrant town of Brattleboro. The campus can be reached by taking the Marlboro College Van or the public Moover Bus.

Total enrollment is 330 with majority of the students coming from Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maine, Maryland and New Hampshire. The average class size is 10 while the student/faculty ratio is 8:1. There are 41 full-time faculty members. Student housing facilities consist of 9 residence halls, 3 houses, 2 cabins, 4 apartments and 6 cottages.

Marlboro College does not have core curriculum requirements but it does have academic requirements. These consist of the Clear Writing Requirement and completion of a Plan of Concentration in a degree field offered by the college. The Bachelor of Arts or Science in International Studies needs to comply with the requirements of the World Studies Program. Areas of study include the Arts, Natural Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and World Studies.

Tuition for graduate programs varies depending on academic terms. The given rate typically includes computer lab, student activities and enrollment fees. Annual tuition rate for undergraduate programs amounts to $ 32,550.00 while annual room and board amounts to $ 9,220.00. Campus visits can be arranged by calling (802) 258-9236. Tours are typically held at 10 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 2 pm during Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Student-hosted overnight campus visits can be scheduled one week in advance. Priority in scheduling is given to accepted students.
