Located in Vermont, the New England Culinary Institute has been helping to train professionals in the culinary industry since 1980. With two campuses, as well as a well established on line distance program, the Institute works on an immersion basis where students train under Master Chef faculty members. The school operates several high quality restaurants include La Brioche, Main Street Grill and several locations at the Inn at Essex.

The Institute focuses on professional education, keeping classes small and providing the opportunity to a lot of student-instructor interaction. Offering degree programs ranging from certifications in cooking, baking and pastry preparation, as well as associates degrees (AOS) in Baking, Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management, students can gain a fast track to a culinary career. Alumni include the Food Network’s Alton Brown, as well as several top American chefs. Students can also earn a bachelors of arts in culinary arts or restaurant management to further their professional careers.
