Heritage University
Heritage University is a private, four-year learning institution located in a 20-acre campus in Toppenish, Washington. It was founded in 1907 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary as Holy Names College, then Fort Wright College until it was finally renamed Heritage College in 1982.
Academically, Heritage College offers its students associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees through its two distinguished colleges; namely, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Education and Psychology. Favorite major fields of academic discipline include Business Administration & Accounting, Clinical Laboratory, Computer Science, Education, English & Humanities, Mathematics, Nursing, Sciences, Social Science, Social Work, Visual Arts and Psychology.
For its graduate degree programs, the university offers a Master of Arts in English and a Master of Education in Counseling degree, to name a few. Moreover, because the university believes that nothing should stand in the way of students completing their degrees, it also holds evening and weekend classes for those whose situation in life makes it impossible for them to attend the regular day classes.
There are approximately 1,365 students enrolled at Heritage University, 794 of them undergraduates and the rest enrolled in the graduate programs.
Cost of tuition per credit at Heritage University is US$465 for undergraduate students; US$555 for undergraduate international students; US$600 for graduate students and US$670 for graduate international students. This is for tuition alone and does not include the required entrance and annual fees nor any charges for room and board. Financial aid is extended to qualified students in the form of loans, grants, scholarships or student employment.
There is no on-campus housing facility available for students at Heritage University.
