About Salem International University
With both a rural location in West Virginia and a global online campus offering undergraduate and graduate programs, Salem International University has a long tradition of educational excellent. Originally founded as a Baptist college in 1888, the school evolved to form an international university in 1989, extending its focus.
With a core focus on liberal arts, the University now offers specialized degrees in Business Administration, with specialties in Sports Management and International Business, as well as Information Technology, Biology and Criminal Justice, in addition to its Secondary School Education programs. The graduate schools offer both an International Masters of Business Administration as well as Masters in Educational Instruction and Leadership. With accelerated courses, degrees can be completed in less time, so you can earn a full degree in less time, including a 12-month masters. While there are a limited number students on the physical campus, the school has an extensive on line program accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the West Virginia Board of Education.
