Alverno College
Situated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Alverno College is a Catholic college for women. It is a four-year liberal arts college, which has a longstanding tradition of well-rounded education based on Franciscan values. The college was founded in 1887 by the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Alverno College offers undergraduate degree programs, with more than 60 majors to choose from. Regular classes are offered during weekdays. On weekends, some classes are also held. These classes are for the following minors:

• Computing and Information Technology
• Elective Studies option
• Humanities
• Professional Communication
They also have a graduate program, which is open to both men and women. Courses offered for the graduate program are:

Alverno students are ensured the highest quality education possible from the hundred or so faculty members. The current student to faculty ratio is 13 to 1, with class sizes averaging 20-25 students.
The college has two residence halls, both of which offer room and board. Austin Hall is recommended for new students, as it offers a lot of extra-curricular activities that can help with the adjustment to college life. Clare Hall is usually preferred by students in their upper level years, as it provides a more sedate atmosphere, helping those who want to focus solely on academics.
